Optional – Add Social Feeds
Social media feeds have gotten more restrictive as companies like Meta and X request login and having an account to view the feed, etc. Because they are a third party we are limited in how we can support this within WordPress. Below are the instructions for the Latest Instagram Posts block, which we tend to have success with. It is only available in the post-launch state.
- Connect Instagram account and add Latest Posts block to the home

Affiliate Content Process Comms
Now that your site is live, your affiliates can now begin to be onboarded. You can expect SportsEngine to set up a kickoff call to start this.
To support this we’ve shared the comms plan for super club admins to utilize throughout. Specifically comms 2-5 will be used by the super club admin to send to their affiliates.
Point of contact
Hello [insert super admin name],
We’re ready to push forward with phase two of your website project and build out regional content for each of your affiliates. The goal is to provide each affiliate a digital home for their specific programming but under the [insert club name] umbrella, mutually building both brands.
One-Pagers
You’ve seen the one-pager concept with a singular page layout that can host the most important information for each affiliate, but it can be reviewed again here: Example
The one-pager is created after one of your affiliates accepts an order from NBCSN. It then can be upgraded to a microsite if the affiliate admin wishes to expand the content.
Microsites
You’ve seen the microsite concept with the 7–8 page layouts for each location, but they can be reviewed again here: Example
We’ve created a form (Password: Content!) for each location to complete if they wish to move beyond the one-pager. This will ensure consistency and ease in collecting the necessary information.
Super Admin Role
We have seen the most success in these implementations when one super admin is designated — one contact to serve as the main decision maker and the liaison to the rest of the affiliates. The role requires a significant time commitment. The super admin will be responsible for:
- Making strategic decisions within the Diamond Allegiance approved template.
- Distributing communications to affiliates (communications will be prepared by NBCSN and sent to the super admin for distribution).
- Engaging affiliate admins and ensuring they complete the form if they wish.
- Assisting affiliates with form completion and answering their questions.
- Acting as a liaison between affiliates and NBCSN for any additional content requests.
- Managing affiliate admin permissions.
This super admin plays a crucial role in the successful onboarding of affiliates and the long-term maintenance of the website. Once confirmed, we will send the first communication for the super admin to distribute to affiliates.
The most intensive period will be from the form distribution until the content submission deadline.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Affiliate content collection overview
Hello [insert super admin name],
Thanks for confirming your super admin. We appreciate your support in this crucial phase.
Where We Are Now
The form is now ready to begin collecting content for your affiliates! (Form link, Password: Content!).
If your affiliate admin chooses not to submit the form to expand the one-pager, then the one-pager will be their digital home within your site. If they wish to wait to do so, the form can be submitted anytime in the future to expand their content.
This form is designed to gather all necessary information consistently and efficiently. The form matches the location template directly. Throughout the form there will be questions that collect text, files, and links in order to meet the template guidelines.
Here’s what we need you to do:
- Review the Form: Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the form. If you have any questions or need clarifications, let us know.
- Distribute the Form: Send the form to all affiliate admins. We have included a template email below for your convenience. (Please let us know once the form has been sent.)
- Engage and Assist: Ensure all affiliate admins complete the form by the deadline. Assist them with any questions they may have.
- Collect and Review: Once the forms are completed, review them for completeness and accuracy.
Where We Are Headed
Once complete, the entries will be received by NBC Sports Next. Then we will begin migrating the content to the affiliate location for all affiliates. Once the content is migrated, we will hand off the site to the affiliate admin and Tom to finalize the content before publishing.
After publishing, we look for your partnership regarding access and training. Whomever filled out the form will become the “author” of that microsite and will also get access to the self-led, on-demand training videos. We will send over additional communication to you to be distributed at that time.
Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.
FAQs
What if an affiliate doesn’t have the content to fill out the form?
Any parts of the form that are left blank, we will also leave blank on the website. We can easily hide/remove areas of the website. We encourage you, as the super admin, to step in and guide to ensure the microsite meets [insert club name] standards. You can also lean on the team at Diamond Allegiance for support.
What if an affiliate has content beyond the form?
If the affiliate wishes to add additional content that doesn’t exist within the form, we will leave that up to [insert super admin name], the super admin, to determine what fits within the [insert club name] strategy. Should [insert super admin name] need help building content outside of the agreed upon template, he can flag the Diamond Allegiance and NBC Sports Next teams to determine next steps.

Handoff to Tom after content migration
Hello [insert affiliate admin name],
I am reaching out to let you know that the content migration based on your form entry is complete! At this point I would like to introduce you to Tom from Diamond Allegiance. He will be guiding you on the remaining decisions and edits regarding your microsite. Once it is ready we will work together to get it published.
Tom, here is the link to the [insert link for form entry pulled from DA’s site] for your reference. Only you will be able to access this.
Permissions
[insert affiliate admin name], we will make you a limited page editor of your microsite. This means you will have access to your microsite’s pages only.
You will have received an email from donotreply@wpvip.com. This will take you through creating a password to finalize the login process. You will need to enable two-factor authentication, and you will login with username and password. Please confirm with us once you’ve completed the process. We will finalize your access from there.
Here is the [insert site login link] once you are ready and we’ve finalized your access.
Your username is: [insert user’s username] Typically first initial of first name and then full last name.
Your microsites pages are set to private so you will need to login to view them. Here is the to the microsite [insert microsite link].
Next Steps
[Example of items to work with Tom on] In your entry, rosters and commits were requested but were not provided. These will be key items to work with Tom on in the coming weeks. Also, no photos were provided in the entry, which can be crucial to the microsite’s look and feel. Action shots of players are regarded as one of the best items to have to make your site look great, if you have them.
Once the content has been developed and you feel like it is ready to be published, please reach out to the project manager to kickoff final reviews before publishing. Please cc your super club admin and Tom from Diamond Allegiance in this message.
Let me know if there are any questions.
Ready to publish
Hello [insert affiliate admin name],
We’ve received your email regarding being ready to publish your microsite. If there are any tabs within the microsite or sections that you do not wish to use, we recommend hiding those before the microsite is live.
Our team at NBCSN will now go through a round of QA in both mobile and on desktop. If we come across items of note, we will relay those to yourself and to Tom at Diamond Allegiance. Once all of those are resolved, we will move to publish the microsite, and we will notify you when done.
Thank you for your partnership throughout this process. You now have a great content home that you can be proud of and can drive your customers to.
Confirmation of publish
Hello [insert affiliate admin name],
After completing the round of QA and finishing up the subsequent edits, we’ve published your microsite [insert link]!
Going forward you will work with Tom from Diamond Allegiance and your super club admin to further develop the content on your microsite, as needed. You may also reach out to your account manager for any strategy-related discussions regarding the microsite.
Here are some key resource links for future regarding the site:
Thank you and congratulations!
